LEVITTOWN RESOURCE GUIDE

Home repair resources:
Levittown.

Levittown is a census-designated community, not a municipality. It spans parts of Bristol Township, Falls Township, Middletown Township, and Tullytown Borough, and the permit office depends on which of the four the house is in.

A LITTLE LOCAL PREPARATION

Find the right information
for your property.

01

Find the municipality before anything else

A Levittown mailing address does not tell you which permit office to use. Check the municipality on the property tax bill or deed, or look the address up in the Bucks County municipal directory, then use that municipality’s office.

02

Each municipality submits differently

Falls Township says its permits are submitted online through BS&A Online. Bristol Township offers a Self-Service Portal or in-person filing. Middletown Township and Tullytown Borough each publish their own permit pages. Do not assume a neighbor’s process applies if they are across a municipal line.

03

One development, four rulebooks

Bristol Township’s history page says Levittown was built in the 1950s as a single planned community. Zoning and permit lists still differ by municipality. For example, Falls Township’s page lists aprons, curbs, and public sidewalks under building permits. Check the list for your own municipality.

Levittown spans four municipalities. Use the permit office for the municipality the property is actually in.
