HOW WE WORK

Editorial policy.

How a HomeFix.Services article gets from a homeowner question to a published page, and what our review does and does not mean.

1. AI-assisted drafting

Articles start as a homeowner question. AI tools assist with research and produce the first draft. A draft is not published as written. It goes through the editorial review described below first.

2. Source-checked editorial review

Before publication, the HomeFix editorial desk checks the draft against the sources it cites and checks it for claims it should not make. Our publishing system will not publish an article until the current version has been approved and its source, claims, and disclosure checks are complete. If the content changes after approval, it has to be reviewed again.

Articles list their sources so you can read the original material. Where rules depend on location, such as permits, we link the official office and ask readers to confirm with that office.

3. What review does not mean

“Reviewed by HomeFix editorial desk” means the editorial review above. It is not a review by a licensed contractor, engineer, electrician, plumber, inspector, or other professional, and it is not professional advice. General information cannot diagnose a building or replace an on-site assessment by an appropriately qualified professional.

4. Dates

Each article shows when it was first published and when its record was last updated. The updated date comes from our publishing system and changes when the article is saved again.

5. Photos

Photos on articles and topic pages are stock photos from Unsplash, credited to the photographer. They show the subject of a page. They are not photos of HomeFix.Services projects or customers.

6. Advertisements are labelled and separate

Some pages carry a block clearly labelled “Advertisement.” It is not part of the article text. Reading any article never requires contacting an advertiser. The relationship behind the local repair advertisement is disclosed on our About page.

7. Corrections

A corrected or updated article goes through the same review before the new version is published.
