Bucks County: check the current closure notice
Source status checked October 17, 2026: the official Bucks County Home Repair Program page says the program has not accepted new applications since October 21, 2025 because its funding was a one-time grant. Do not mistake an older announcement or interest-form page for confirmation that applications are open now.
The County page links to alternative home repair programs. Treat that list as a starting point. Contact the named administrator to confirm whether a program still operates, accepts applications, serves your address, and covers the proposed work. An alternative may be a loan, grant, or another form of help, with different obligations.
Prepare these questions before sharing documents
Ask whether the program serves your exact municipality and property type. Then ask what ownership, occupancy, household, or other eligibility rules apply, which repairs are covered, and whether it is currently accepting applications.
Ask what form the assistance takes. Is any repayment required? Are there property-related conditions or other commitments? Request the current written terms rather than relying on a short summary or a search result.
Ask which documents are necessary and how to submit them through the administrator’s official process. Keep the current instructions, the date of your contact, and any application confirmation together. HomeFix does not need your income documents or identification to explain these resources.
Keep a private repair agreement separate
If you also seek a private quote, ask about any estimate or site-visit charge before booking. Request the proposed work, price, exclusions, and change-approval process in writing. Compare the work described, not just the final number.
Before authorizing work you hope assistance will cover, ask the program administrator whether that action would affect eligibility or reimbursement. A contractor cannot approve your public-program application. If the condition presents immediate danger, seek the appropriate emergency help rather than waiting for an application or website response.
Program status and terms can change. This guide does not reproduce income limits, promise funding, or decide eligibility. Use the official links below for the current position.
